The Raytheon Amateur Radio Club

The Raytheon Amateur Radio Club was begun in the mid-sixties as the E-Systems Radio Club.

The company supplied a trailer and access to it's Log Periodic antenna mounted at 100 feet. The main function of the group back then was to run autopatches for our employees in the field in all parts of the world. The main rig back then was a nice shiny new Collins S-line. When the company sent people to Sinai in the 70's the Hams were very popular. During the 80's there was some contesting done from our station. We even won a few. This eventually dwindled and the station was idle for many years. In March of 2000 we moved the station upstairs to Bay 3 of our hangar. We have been on the air every weekday since. I wrote an article about this and posted on the Web. For more information about the Club, please visit our Web page.
