Description:

The Anne Arundel Radio Club is very proud to be an ARRL Special Service Club.  We are the largest Amateur Radio Club in Anne Arundel County and are one of the largest in Maryland.

Since the 1970s, the AARC has had it's own club house, with repeater room, kitchen facilities, ham shack and meeting room on the grounds of the Davidsonville Family Recreation Center.  At the present time we are renovating our ham shack and attempting to add electronics shop facilities in our storage building.

The Anne Arundel Radio Club provides communications for a substantial number of events within Anne Arundel county, and our members assist with some outside its boundaries like the Marine Corp Marathon in Washington DC.  Our club competes in both Field Day and Winter Field Day and is currently the host station for the Maryland-DC QSO Party held yearly in August.

We have a group involved in HSMM MESH communications, and another that holds kitbuilding and troublshooting workshops monthly.  We support 5 repeaters and share support of a 6th with the Maryland Mobileers.  And of course we support two nets found on 3 of those repeaters, one on Wednesday evenings for the general membership, and the other, our famous "Holly Net", mornings 7am-9am, in memory of Holly Bevin, N3MB who handled the Net Controller position Monday through Friday for over 30 years,  Holly became a silent key in late 2017, just two months shy of her 102nd birthday.

We are an old club.  We have a proud history.  Our general meetings are twice monthly on 1st and 3rd Thursday's at 7:30pm, and anyone and everyone is welcome to attend..
