Description:

The Jackson Amateur Radio Club (JARC) is a club serving the Jackson County, Kansas and NE Kansas area ham radio operators. The JARC Club encourages ham radio activity in all areas open to amateur radio operators and all facets of the hobby, and not just the technological side of things. Some of those facets include but are not limited to, skills, equipment, people, opportunities, and resources to those interested in, or desiring to benefit from, radio based communications for public service, educational, recreational, and emergency communicational purposes.

The mission of the club is to help facilitate and encourage ham radio activity in the region in support of the overall mission of amateur radio as well as the pure fun associated with being a ham radio operator. The club welcomes comments, offers, and suggestions from both members and non-members of the club. Your ideas and activities will serve to better shape the character and growth of the Club.

Membership in the JARC is open to any and all hams in the area regardless of class of license and to those with an interest in ham radio. The club is seeking to maintain activities and programs focusing on HF, VHF, UHF, contests, Volunteer Examining, DX’ing, CW, SSB, digital modes of communication, propagation, emergency communications, operating skills, satellite communications, just to mention a few that quickly come to mind. If you would like to help the club in any area of Amateur Radio, please feel free to contact us.
