The Mecklenburg Amateur Radio Society ("MARS") is an active club with activities in Public Service, ARES/NC AUXCOMM, Field Days, and many other aspects of ham radio.  MARS was founded in 1949 and involves hams in Mecklenburg County NC as well as much of the Greater Charlotte region.  MARS is incorporated as a 501(c)3 organization.  Our primary focus is to provide training, actively promote the hobby of amateur radio, and most of all - fellowship and fun!
