Pilot Knob Amateur Radio Club welcomes all who are interested in amateur radio. We give license exams via MOKAN VEC. We help maintain several repeaters, hold multiple special events during the year including Freeze Your Keys at Weston Bend State Park, Weston, MO, in February, Field Day in the VA Park in June, and Fred Harvey Day at the home of Fred Harvey in September, and help with parades, rides, walks and runs. Many have a special interest in QRP, POTA, SOTA and ARES. We support communications in two hospitals. The culmination of our year is our annual dinner, the first Friday of December, which has been continuous since 1964, along with the awarding of Amateur of the Year and the Buffalo Chip Award.
