The Steubrnville-Weirton Amateur Radio Club (SWARC) covers the Eastern Ohio and Northern West Virginia counties of Jefferson (Ohio) and Brooke and Hancock (West Virginia). Swarc operates a VHF repeater (W8CWO) in Weirton, WV, and supports the operation of two private repeaters (WD8IIJ) on VHF and UHF in Steubenville and Wintersville, Ohio (respectively). SWARC assists prospective and new Hams in the hobby, and we offer periodic and on-demand FCC license exams. SWARC participates in Field Day activities, and has, at times, set up public demonstrations of Amateur Radio. We welcome anyone who has an interest in Amateur Radio to contact us and/or join our club.
