The principal objective of the WCOARA is to operate and maintain a wide-area radio communications system, for use by the Amateur Radio Emergency Service, throughout the nine counties of west-central Ohio, & to permit communications with the Ohio EMA Headquarters in Columbus, in times of emergency.  Members are committed to support two Kettering Health Network Hospitals, by staffing their Emergency Operation Center’s radios, during exercises and emergencies.
