The Western Kansas Amateur Radio Club is an ARRL affilated club. Our club is composed of a group of like minded Amateurs that enjoy casual group radio contesting, socializing and bringing new Amateurs, or like-to-be Amateurs into our ranks.
Our club provides
1. Volunteer Examiners
2. Mentoring
3. Help with getting stations and equipment up and running either for the first time or after some disaster occurs.
4. An "open" UHF repeater for use by any licensed Amateur. The repeater is located in Tribune, Kansas
442.175 Mhz + 5Mhz tone 156.7 hz.
5. Meetings are usually held the first Saturday of the Month or more often as needed to conduct club business, social gatherings, antenna parties, radio contests, etc.
