2008 ARRL DX SSB - New LCR's

Aug 20, 2008 14:31 ET
Sean E. Kutzko, KX9X

Hi folks-

As was stated in the August 20th edition of the Contester's Update newsletter, there was a small error in the way the Log-Checking Reports were generated for DX stations. The problem was an out-of-date FCC database to determine whether a callsign had been legitimately issued.

We have corrected this problem and regenerated the Log-checking reports. This is part of an expanded online writeup of the DX SSB contest, which can be found here. The expanded writeup includes several stories on regional competition. Many thanks to the regional authors for giving us expanded coverage available on the Web.

We apologize for the error.

73,

Sean Kutzko KX9X
