A self-scoring activities sheet (required)* was filled out by participating clubs. Documentation supporting each point-valued activity was required. The ARRL HQ The Work Party carefully examined the volumes of documents that came into ARRL and conducted it's own tally to match against points claimed. Their findings are final. Submittals from a total of 42 clubs consisted of often professional-looking newsletters, club reports, press releases, contest logs, ARES and NTS reports, and variety of commendation and community service awards given by state or local agencies to the clubs. The ARRL Volunteer Resources Committee announced awardees at the ARRL Board of Directors Annual Meeting held January 19, 2001.
