The Associated Radio Amateurs Of Long Beach Inc., our official name, for 73 years have been active in Community Service Projects. We have a long list of service projects, which include, but are certainly not limited to: Long Beach Hospital Emergency Communication, Beach clean-up, Signal Hill Easter Egg Hunt for the children, Field Day at El Dorado Park, Long Beach Marathons, Christmas Breakfast with Santa and many others. Our goal is to promote amateur Radio to its fullest. We are very proud to have our club station located on the Sports Deck of the Queen Mary for the last 20+ years. ARALB/W6RO operates the Wireless Room Aboard the Queen Mary, from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. every day. The club station is manned by many control operators from many of the surrounding clubs and also amateurs who have no club affiliation. To become a Queen Mary Operator all you need to do is volunteer 4 hours of your time once a month. Henry Lulli W6OLZ is our indoctrination manager. You can contact Henry at 714-963-2986, and he will answer all your questions.
ARALB/W6RO Meets the 1st Friday of every month 7:00 P.M. at the Signal Hill Community Center 1708 E. Hill Street Signal Hill , California 90806. Visitors are Welcome.
