Our Club Staion is located in our meeting place, the Wallingford Civil Preparedness Building. We work closely with the town Civil Preparedness and ARES and have participated in many local road races and parades, providing health and welfare communications. We have also provided communication for floods and other emergencies. With the club shack available, MARC has been active in many operating events and contests, including Sweepstakes, where we garnered a Clean Sweep in both CW and Phone in 1999. Of course we operate Field Day and have scored consistently in the top ten in the 1A Battery class for 15 years, culminating in first place in 1996 and '97. MARC also runs three general information and rag chew nets on HF-CW, HF-SSB & VHF-FM. Since MARC is the sponsor of the Castle Craig Chapter of Ten Ten our HF-SSB net is on Ten Meters.
The Meriden Amateur Radio Club has a Web Site at http://www.qsl.net/w1nrg/. Our web site and monthly newsletter, Key Klix, keep the club members informed on the latest activities and upcoming events.
