Foundation for Amateur Radio Announces 2005 Scholarship Awards

RIVERDALE, MD, Jul 19, 2005--The Foundation for Amateur Radio (FAR) has announced the 2005-2006 academic year recipients of the more than 55 scholarship awards it administers. FAR scholarships are open to all radio amateurs who met the qualification and residence requirements of the various sponsors.

It is devoted exclusively to the scientific, literary and educational pursuits that advance the purposes of the Amateur Radio Service.

The Foundation sponsors the F.A.R.Fest, which will take place September 10-11, 2005, at the Montgomery County Agricultural Center (Fairgrounds) in Gaithersburg, Maryland. F.A.R.Fest will be the site of the 2005 ARRL Maryland-DC Section Convention.
