Download VSHARE Fix

The Microsoft-supplied vshare.386 program, which should solve the problem of QST View errors while having share.exe loaded in Windows 3.1, is available here. View the application note readme.txt file for details of how to install the fix. (This file is also present in the download file.) Then download the ww1000.exe program, which is a self-extracting file containing the vshare.386 program. (Hold down the shift key when you click on the download link in order to save ww1000.exe to disk.)

Download ww1000.exe

Place ww1000.exe into an empty subdirectory on your disk drive, then run:

WW1000.EXE
This will extract the files. Follow the instructions in the readme.txt file to install vshare.386.
