Affiliated Club Activities:
The Cyclone Amateur Radio Club participated in the Iowa QSO Party and the
School Club Roundup. They made 32 contacts in the QSO party, and in the
School Club Roundup they had a score of 810, including DX contacts from Spain
and England. Earlier in the month they went with the Story County Amateur
Radio club to tour the N0NI super-station.
Central Iowa Radio Amateur Society members participated in a drill this
October with the Duane Arnold Energy Center (DAEC) in Marshalltown. Marshall
County is a host county for the Palo nuclear plant in case of an accident.
There is a drill every year that the club helps with.
Clinton Amateur Radio Club held their regular October meeting and a special
repeater committee was chosen to investigate some intermod issues on the
145.430 MHz machine.
W0IW Contest Station participated in Kentucky QSO Party November 14 and 15.

Technical Coordinators Corner:
N0JG, Joe Goudy has discussed Amateur Radio with the Renewable Energy Student
Club of Indian Hills Community College at their Ottumwa campus. He will also
be involved with discussions on the construction of the Ottumwa Area
Translator Television Tower.

K4M DX-pedition! - Craig Thompson, K9CT, will give a presentation about the
very successful Midway Island Dx-pedition that took place in October, on
Tuesday, December 1st, in the American Red Cross building, 1100 River Drive,
in Moline, IL. Doors open at 6:00PM and the presentation will start at 7:00.
There will be snacks and beverages available! It's free and brought to you by
the members of the Green River Valley Amateur Radio Society. * Please use the
