Programming a ft60

Just got my tech license and I am programming the ft60. The Repeater Directory does not say it needs a tone setting but in the quick guide it shows to put one in. After I installed the program and put it on scan I do not receive . could I need to get a new antenna thank you. Norm KB1ZZB |

You should make sure you don't have "TSQL" on your dial--this means you have activated the tone squelch--you won't hear anything until you have a signal sending a tone that matches the setting on your radio. Zack W1VT ARRL Senior Lab Engineer |
