FLDIGI PRODUCES RX IMAGES | W6PJJ | on 23/12/14 |
I have noticed that my version of FlDIDI for Mac (3.22.02) is capable of producing echo images of a strong station. It appears that when a signal of sufficient magnitude arrives in the Passband of the Decoder, multiple images of this signal appear upward in the passband of the Waterfall display. I reduced the RF gain on the receiver and even applied a 3 db pad, the echo images continued to appear. You can move the tracks to the 2nd or 3rd signal and copy the same information as the fundamental frequency. I expect that this is occurring in the Computer Decode section but without further tests I cannot reach a final decision. Anyone else experiencing this problem? 73's Don W6PJJ w6pjj@arrl.net |
