ARLB019 Four New Section Managers Elected

Three new ARRL Section Managers were elected February 18 and another
new SM won unopposed in Wyoming.

In Montana, Doug R. Dunn, K7YD, received 234 votes to James
Fuller's, N7VMR, 73 votes. John Thomason, WB5SYT, won over Melvin
Miller, K5KXL, 520 to 148 votes in Oklahoma. The new North Texas
SM-elect is Roy Rabey, AD5KZ, who received 576 votes to defeat
incumbent SM Larry Melby, KA5TXL, who had 499 votes, and M. Glenn
Warnstaff, K5CPD, who received 303 votes.

Jay Ostrem, W7CW, of Gillette, is Wyoming's new Section Manager, as
outgoing SM Bob Williams, N7LKH, decided not to run. Five incumbent
SMs earned new terms after running unopposed: John Meyers, NB4K, of
Butler, Kentucky; Clifford Hauser, KD6XH, of Tucson, Arizona;
Malcolm Keown, W5XX, of Vicksburg, Mississippi; Orange SM Joe Brown,
W6UBQ, of Riverside, California, and Jim Lasley, N0JL, of
Chillicothe, Iowa.

Their two-year terms will begin on April 1, 2003. Ballots were
counted and verified by ARRL Field and Educational Services Staff
members.
