The Central Coast Amateur Radio Group (CCARG) is a California 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization. The club was formed by David Qualls (K6AYK) in Grover Beach on 6-24-2022. We are a ARRL Affiliated Club with IRS EIN# 92-0494969.
The objectives of the CCARG are to provide training in the art and science of radio communications capabilities for the San Luis Obispo, South County, including the Five Cities and the surrounding areas of the Central Coast of California. We support Field Day, other contests and have many fun activities. The Club maintains a Vanity amateur Radio Station License W6WJ, to be operated in support of such activities as:
American Radio Relay League "Field Day" preparedness tests
Support the SLOECC in Drills, City events, when needed and during real emergencies.
