The McPherson Amateur Radio Club is a group of individuals that share an common interest in amateur radio communications.  This includes but is not limited to HF, Digital, Satellite, Contest, Traffic, Community Service, ARES, Emergency Preparation, and EmComm.  We also have some excellent 'Elmers" that are willing to mentor individuals new to the Amateur Radio hobby.  Our club is the primary source for ARES as well .  Through ARES we support various organizations with their communication traffic.  In addition, we have planned some technical projects for the year including simple antenna construction for the beginner, effective station grounding, and  repeater basics.  Our meetings are scheduled on the third Tuesday of every month at Newton LEC basement.
