- Description:
-
The largest club in the state of Rhode Island, NCRC club members enjoy a range of radio opportunities offered on a daily, weekly, and annual basis to hams at every level. We are a vibrant, growth-mindset community filled with remarkable talent generously shared. The club operates two repeaters, W1SYE analog FM, and W1AAD DSTAR, with the daily 2m net serving as an important way to mentor new hams to Get On the Air. We offer quarterly VE sessions open to the public, as well as remote Spring & Fall Technician, General and Extra classes.
The club was a pioneer with Islands On the Air from Florida to Maine, and now is very active with Parks on the Air (POTA). Other activiities include teams working on scouting JOTA; Earth-Moon-Earth DX; and Microwave mesh projects funded by an ARRL Foundation Club grant. We support ARES and Skywarn, and look forward to continued outreach and collaboration across the state and region. Please join us!
