The Northeast Minnesota Contest Club was formed to honor a local amateur operator, W0LWU, Joe Meese, for his dedication to amateur radio and for hosting Winter Field Day at his home for many years. Joe passed away and became a silent key in 2022.Joe was the only compounding pharmacist in Northern Minnesota. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl.
