The Parkersburg Amateur Radio Klub (W8PAR) is a community-focused amateur radio organization serving Parkersburg, Vienna, and the Mid-Ohio Valley region of West Virginia and Ohio. Our mission is to promote amateur radio through education, public service, emergency communications, fellowship, and technical advancement. We welcome operators of all experience levels; from newly licensed hams to lifelong radio enthusiasts.

Club activities include weekly nets, hands-on training, license exam preparation, field operations, portable and emergency communications, contesting, digital modes, and community outreach events. W8PAR proudly supports public service and emergency preparedness while fostering a fun and welcoming environment for anyone interested in amateur radio, electronics, preparedness, and communications technology. Club interests include HF, VHF/UHF, packet radio, AREDN, Meshtastic, portable operations, repeaters, antennas, and experimenting with emerging communications technologies. Whether you are a new operator or an experienced ham, there is a place for you at W8PAR.
