Additional Information: Classes are free and open to public. MUST REGISTER ONLINE - www.K4VRC.com (“Interest in becoming a ham” tab) Course based on the ARRL General Class License Manual 9th Edition (July 2019 to June 2023). The ARRL General Class License Q&A book is highly recommended by past students, but optional. Four classes and a test night, see ARRL Exam Session listings for details. You are expected to read the assigned chapters, watch KE0OG videos and take practice tests prior to class. The course outline is: 1) regulations and operating procedures, 2) components and electricity, 3) circuits and radio operation, and 4) antennas and propagation. In the class the material you studied during the week is reviewed using graphics and examples to help you understand and remember. Class discussion is encouraged!
