Can't find recent Hint and Kink

They are no longer available as a replacement parts so I’d like to replace them with white LED’s. I recall seeing something in QST (I believe in Hints & Kinks) where some has provided information on LED substitution for a small light. For the life of me, I’ve combed several years of QST magazines and wasn’t able to find the info. With all your experience I thought you might be able to provide the info or a reference to the QST issue that contained the information. Thanks very much in advance for any light you can shed on the issue. (No pun intended.)
