We will be traveling in our Motorhome staying at one place for a month or more. The HF radio is mounted in the motorhome and will not move for 30 days or more. What is the proper suffix to use /M or /P and I assume you used the Motorhome Locator grid. Thanks. |

I believe the convention these days is to just sign your callsign without a suffix. There are a few hams who sign /m when working toward DX awards, but there is no regulatory requirement to do so. Similarly, hams will sign portable when operating from a distinct DXCC country, even when there is no regulatory requirement to do so. Zack Lau W1VT ARRL Senior Lab Engineer |

Ok so I use my normal call sign, but what about the grid locator? Do I change that to where we will be staying? Will this affect the log upload to LOTW? Seems that would create some kind of problem and cause rejection. This logging process to LOTW and DXCC is very confusing to me as new elderly HAM |
