Callsign change didn't happen?

I upgraded my amateur license on October 19, 2011 from General to Extra Class. I checked the appropriate box and initialed same to change/upgrade my Callsign as instructed by the VEs administering the exam. The upgrade to Extra Class was completed and granted with new license received from FCC; but my Callsign was not changed to a 2x2 to reflect my Extra Class license upgrade as requested. I would like to know why the change did not happen? Thanks, John KK4EJX |
