Italian Astronaut Conveys Birthday Greetings to ARISS from Space

New Expedition 26 crew members Dmitry Kondratyev, Catherine Coleman, KC5ZTH, and Paolo Nespoli. IZ0JPA, docked the Soyuz TMA-20 spacecraft to the Rassvet mini-research module December 17, 2010. They are beginning a five-month stay aboard the International Space Station. They are scheduled to return to Earth in May 2011.

On December 21, Nespoli, a European Space Agency astronaut, wished Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) a “Happy Birthday.” The first ARISS school contact took place exactly 10 years earlier, on December 21, 2000. – Information courtesy Gaston Bertels, ON4WF, ARISS Chairman, and NASA
