San Francisco Section 2022 Calendar

There are more in-person events on the calendar for 2022!

Here's the line up for this year so far.

April 23  2022 - Saturday - 8:00 AM to Noon  VOMARC Hamfest - Again!  The Valley of the Moon ARC will be holding its annual hamfest and swap in Sonoma.  First Congregational Church of Sonoma, 252 W. Spain St, Sonoma. This is the only swap I know of in the local area.  Check in your garage or closet for something that is collecting dust, and take it to the swap.  You might just find a treasure or two that can accompany you home to your shack.  In addition, they have a T-Hunt, VE session and a fund raising breakfast that you won't want to miss.  For more details, please visit their website at  Try to get there early to have an eye-ball QSO with someone you haven't seen in a while, and to catch the rare goodies before they are snatched up!

June 3 - 5, 2022 - Friday to Sunday - SeaPac in Seside, OR.  SeaPac is the ARRL Northwestern Division convention.  It has multiple floors in the convention center of indoor swap tables, a large variety of commercial vendors and great places to eat in the coastal town of Seaside.  Educational seminars abound for those wanting to stretch their brain cells.  Bring the family and non-Hams as there is plenty to do in the tourist town.  I typically fly into Portland and drive to Seaside, or you can take a beatuiful drive along the coast to the town.  Nearby is Tillamook, home of cheese and ice cream.  Worth the side trip.  For more information visit their website at

June 25 - 26, 2022 - Field Day!  Many clubs and groups are resuming in-person Field Day activities this year.  Please be sure that your club/group has listed their Field Day location on the ARRL Field Day locator so visitors can find your operation.  It is a great way to get new Hams and new members, as well as those that are antenna challenged on the air.  Be sure to be up to date on the Field Day operating rules.  They are listed on ARRL website.  For more information on Field Day, please check the ARRL website, and your local club for their plans.  Where will you be on Field Day this year?

October 14 to 16 - Friday to Sunday - Pacificon 2022 IS ON!  Located in San Ramon at the San Ramon Marriott,  Pacificon is the ARRL Pacific Division annual conference.  The Mt. Diablo Amateur Radio Club organizes the convention with their skilled team to the enjoyment of all visitors.  Make your reservations early.  For more information and reservations, visit their website at   As of this writing, their website is under construciton, so check back for details.

If you know of an Amateur Radio activity that needs to be know, please email me the details soo I can add them to the calendar.  I know I am busting at the seems to get out check them out.

Club Presidents - Reminder - If your club is affiliated with ARRL, please be sure that your club's information is updated on the ARRL website.  That way prospective members can find you!

If you or your club have something you'd like to have mentioned here, drop me a email with the info.  Thanks!
