Hello there - my first time participating on the SKN - I long time dream. It was good to sit down and relax on a snowy day making some QSOs using a straight key. Since i don't have any vintage rig at this time, maybe next year, I decided to fire my Elecraft K1 @5W and meet some vintage radios on the air. I called this encounter the connection between the "past" and "future". Technology of both eras doing the basics of communication. I met W7FOX with his ARC5 with some added technology to make thing even better. A WW2 50W transmitter talking with a 21st technology at 5W. What a great combination. Although my time was limited due to family committments, I enjoyed so much the three QSOs I was able to log. I hope to have more time next time.
