Well it was a last-minute put together for field day because I was just going to visit some of the local clubs. But I thought why not just do it on my own and see how I can do because I bought the battery from Dayton and I had that KX3 so why not do 5 Watts and use the battery. I traded a rig for this KX3, so what better opportunity to put it to the test. I was sitting in a pavilion by a local trail operating from 2:30 pm to about 2:30 am. With people coming and going to walk the trail, a few stopped over and asked me what I was doing, and i explained and a few recognize me stopped over to chat. Then went home got some sleep woke up reset back up everything and started again at about 10:30 in the morning till about 1:30 pm. I enjoyed This immensely testing myself on setting up and operating and seeing how many contacts I could get on QRP. Looking forward to next year and Hopefully do better with different antenna ideas. This is a great event all around. There’s so much more happening in clubs then what I did, so get out there next year and give it your best.                  N8ND Mike
