PCARS ( Platinum Coast Amateur Radio Society) had a group over 32 amateurs & numerous visitors attend our Field Day site this year. While the very hot Florida sun made  being outside not too bearable, our crews stayed well hydrated to get our crank up tower & antennas in place for the satellite & GOTA stations.

Once everything was in place & ready, we did what PCARS is most famous for  - Get on the Air!

We manned the CW & SSB stations round the clock with no empty seats! We also got in all the possible satellite passes. The 6 Meter station, well it was there for a few contacts. In years past, 6 did not stop.

But the big hit was the GOTA station! It really rock & once or twice, there was a line waiting to operate. But everyone there got a change to operate. Our coaches made the GOTA station available for the whole time period & had some folks show up in the middle of the night. We had a few young potential operators show up & they really enjoyed themselves. Perhaps some of them will get their license.

In short, Field Day is always a great activity for PCARS. A certain amount of planning ahead, along with a great crew to put everything together, is what makes Field Day a success for PCARS!
