Another year of a great time at Field Day!   The food was great, the weather was fabulous, and the band conditions were fair.  On Friday before Field Day 6 meters had some good openings, but on Field Day 6 was not so good.  This year things went quite well except for our digital station.  We couldn’t get PSK and RTTY working right and had to revert to FT8.  My grandson, Will  (13) operated on the GOTA station and made 40 Q’s.  He is studying for the tech. test and next year we will put him in the normal op rotation.  I am trying to make him into a CW OP.  We set a new record for number of Q’s this year by breaking the 1000 bearer.  This is our 15th year of doing Field Day from my northern Michigan QTH and I hope we can do a few more before we are all too old.
