The ABCD Group (Arnie N6HC, Bob AA6PW, Chip K7JA and Dino KX6D) made another trek to the Firestone Scout Reservation above Brea, California (LAX Section) for a 5A operation in 2019 Field Day.

We were blessed with weather in th low to mid 60s on Friday for setup, which left us in better condition than usual once 11 AM rolled around on Saturday, the start of the operating period on the West Coast.

Propagatipnoconditions were very mixed. The 20- and 40-meter bands were fair, but we were closed out of the 10/6 meter propagation that some back east enjoyed. Another year passes with a 7-element 50 MHz Yagi and nobody to work.

FD2019 at N6HC: infrastructure consisting of 10 old hams spurred on by dreams of whatever glory Field Day can bring. After more than 5000 QSOs got in the log, we all vowed "Never again...until next year."
