2020 ARRL Straight Key Night
This year I spent all my time on 40 meters as the conditions were good and there was plenty of activity. I even heard some very enthusiastic ops calling CQ SKN around 21:00 Z ! I primariy used my vintage Heathkits: DX-60-B, HG-10 VFO, and National NC-88 receiver into a 200' long doublet. In the pictures you can see my J-38 key being "C"lamped in place to prevent any "C"licks or "C"hirps from being transmitted. Also, the Mickey Mouse nutcracker was guarding against any "spurious" emissions from being radiated. It was nice to hear many rigs from the 50's and 60's like mine which broughht back many fond memories.
