2020 ARRL June VHF Contest
This is the 1st VHF/UHF contest I have entered in a long time I had a friend of mind make me some halo antennas a VHF,6 meters, and UHF. We could not get the UHF antenna to work,so I bagged UHF and just work 2 meters and 6 .
I left his house at about 230am and got home at around 4am and got to sleep at 430,and got up at a 11am had to stop and get some stuff and headed out
I have 4 grid squares I can work that is close by one of them is Mt Pilchuck out of Granite Falls in Washington.
I headed up that way and the road is full of chuck holes that are big about a mile from the top I broke my only clamp that was hold my antenna tothemount,so I had use a shoe string to tie the antenna to the mount, and atthe top of the mountain anther ham was there and I was able to get some electrical tape and wire ties and that worked till I got back home.
It also rained like I have never seen before it was comming down in Oceans the parking lot got flooded out I made it down ok and had a great time in the contest looking forward to July
