Our local QRP Club decided to try something a little different for SKN this year. Those of us with CW VHF capability left our rigs on 144.100 Mhz during SKN so that we could work some "locals" as well as the usual HF SKN contacts.

It was a nice way to meet up with some local friends to exchange best wishes for the new year.

My station was a new Yaesu FT-991A paired with an 80 year old McElroy Bug.
