Every Ham Loves the ARRL Field Day! The great outdoors, lots of food, friends, and radios.

Band Conditions were not that good and I only got 16 contacts in total.

During the day I used my ¼ wave Vertical Antenna for the 20 Meter Band.

I got seven from California, two from both Oregon and Colorado.  And I worked one station from each of these states Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, and New Mexico. Yes I stated New Mexico, which seems like it is a hard one for us here in Mesa.

At night I used my 81ft End Fed Antenna on 40 Meters. During the evening on 40 Meters, I was on from 23:00 Sat UTC until 05:00 Sun UTC and mostly worked California.

It seems like that the propagation from California to Mesa, Arizona is very good in the summer, but on other times of the year it is sporadic. I have more contacts from California than any other state.

Out of my sixteen contacts, four were from Amateur Radio Clubs, which was great. Thanks everybody for the QSO’s!
