Rigs: IC-735, TS-50 (Listen only)
Antennas: Home brew inverted Vee for IC-735; R-7 vertical for TS-50.
Keying: AEA MorseMachine; Classic Keyer mahogany and brass iambic paddle.
Logging: Old CTX laptop running N3FJP software.
Decoder: JRC 600 Ohm headphones audiologically coupled to gray matter.
Other equipment: Timewave DSP599zx during crowded band CDX.
Goal: Clean Sweep
Outcome: LOTSA FUN!
I am utterly hooked on the first weekend of November! My 8th CWSS, my ears were still joyously ringing when it was over. Twenty-three fewer contacts than last year, one Section closer to Clean Sweep than last year. One fantastic time! I spent most of the last 2 hours hunting for SF, AK and NWT. I found SF, but AK and NWT escaped unheard, unscathed. Might I suggest a new commemorative trinket? A broken broom pin for those who miss the sweep by 5 or fewer Sections. -- N8CPA
