11/20/2002 | KF6ILA/KH2 As most of you know, Guam (KH2 Land) is between 14 to 18 hours ahead of the Continental U.S., so the sweepstakes started for me Sunday Morning. Even though I figured that I would only be able to work for about five hours before the bands closed, I decided to make a go of it anyway. I was using a Hustler 6-BTV at a barefoot 100 Watts. Even though I could hear many stations, I was only able to work fourteen, averaging about 10 minutes to get my information across. I would like to say thank you to all the stations which we were successful, and those which we tried, but could not. I know that it was a trial to "dig me out of the dirt" for the contact. Thank you all and looking forward to next year.
