11/20/2002 | W0EEE well, we worked our sweep, and clobbered last year's score by quite qa bit (100000+ vs 43000), so we've got a good group of contestors this year. That, coupled with some equipment upgrades, we were able to work 40M and 80M like never before. Everyone in our station was impressed when one of our ops was working a pileup and said "guys, im trying to work the little girl whos getting clobbered by this pileup" and the frequency went dead, except for our op and the YL. It's great to see so many new ops on the air for this... more contacts for us to work!!

W0EEE is the university of Missouri-Rolla ARC, located roughly halfway between St. Louis and Springfield, MO on scenic Interstate 44 :) We are into a little bit of everything when we can be.... no sattelite antennas, but we have an '847. We currently host the only APRS digi in Rolla, in order to spark a little more interest in it. We keep a shack full of equipment for our members to use whenever they please (they are issued keys if they so desire to get them from the university)... A GREAT club at a GREAT school :) -- KC9UMR
