Original plan was to get on Sunday afternoon after the football game...maybe for 4 hours or so.
I changed my mind, and got on a little Saturday evening (12 Q's), but didn't seem to have much of a signal, so called it a night very quickly.
Sunday a.m. (about 1500z) decided to take a listen on 40 meters, and, finding it rather quiet, (i.e., not "wall to wall") did a little s&p then called CQ at 7.172. 56 minutes and 121 Q's later, I had given the sweep to about 4 or 5 stations, and had many more mention I was one of their last two or three.
That was a nice thrill. My QSO was never, at least to my knowledge, the sweep QSO for anyone in SS. WPA just is not that rare.
I did stop to watch the football game, then got on some more in the evening, hearing "thanks for the sweep" a few more times.
Now if I could only get the SS sweep myself one time.....
