For the second year in a row, I humped up to a 2800' mountain top above the San Fernando Valley in the LAX Section to work QRP with a Yaesu FT-817 and Outbacker Joey vertical. Although I was only able to stay up there for 2.5 hours, I made 55 contacts in 33 sections. However I only worked one other "Q" station. Thanks to all who heard my QRP signal and exchanged the info even though sometimes it took a little longer. Next year I'll spend more time operating from up on the mountain and send a picture. 73 de Scott, Los Angeles, CA -- WA9STI
