12/19/2002 | ON5ZO Ever since I closed the log of the 2001 edition I was looking forward to this year's ARRL 10m contest. I planned a bit more serious effort than last year's casual 'bandsweeping'.

Due to circumstances I don't have a real fixed mast and big antennas at this moment, so I used a temporarry 'field day style' push up mast (6x2m sections minus overlap). This carries a 3el monobander optimized for CW operation, which was about 9m high on Saturday but had to be lowered to 7m on Sunday due to the weather. Bummer!

Nevertheless I had a great time. Mostly S&P but some good runs too. The antenna should be (a lot) higher and (a lot) bigger, some QRO might help too.
