12/19/2002 | N5MDO This was my first time in a contest. Man was it hard, and fun. You do not realize just how much it takes out of you until its over. After its over, you have to get your brain to settle down and think of something besides letters,numbers,and your call sign. Now that I have done one by myself I can do just about anything. I can't wait for my next contest. I am not sure how I will do, but it will be fun to find out. When I did this contest by myself it made me feel like the whole world was coming to me. My DXCC experience had been limited before but I worked 46 countries, some I had never heard of before. That was Great!!! I am also well on my way to WAS with all the contacts I made. I would like to thank my elmer (N5QYC) for all the help he has given me and the encourgement to try new things on my own. Now I know what to do and am looking forward to the next one.
