02/19/2003 | WA3KYY A lot of fun for my first ever attempt at a major CW contest. My arm and wrist were cramping up by the end after sending all exchanges with a straight key. Biggest thrill was getting JY9NX on 40M on the 2nd call. I need to spend more time on 80M and get up an antenna that works for 160M. Station here was an Elecraft K2/100 and a G5RV antenna up 25 feet with one leg bent into a "U" shape. Managed 158 multipliers and 33 new countries. 73 from snowy Maryland, Mike. -- WA3KYY
