02/17/2003 | M8C What a ball. Worked 665 Q's (SOAB, LP).... with a 3 foot multi-band top-loaded mobile antenna (Comet UHV-6) mag-mounted on the car roof!! Getting out into the country makes a big difference.

Couldn't believe how everyone kept coming back to me so easily, especially on 80m on Saturday morning! My only regret is that I mis-judged the propagation, thinking it would be closed 09:00 to 12:30 Z; came on mid-day on Sunday and the high bands were all wide open!

Thanks for all the QSO's, guys, and hope to see you for the 'phone leg... I may be only QRP then, but I have a secret weapon for the antenna system!
