03/03/2003 | AA0MZ Thank goodness conditions improved on the second day with a nice opening to EU on 15 meters! Personal best SSB score. TU2XZ was the biggest surprise to find on 10 meters. Some nice QRP signals coming out of Central and South America. Tough working EU and Asia on 40 and 80 meters with 100w on SSB from Kansas, which is a testament to the effectiveness of CW in degraded communications. Thanks to the DX ops for listening patiently for my weak signal. (Where were the ZL contestants???) Won't be long and we will be missing those 10 meter DX contacts. 73, Jim, Wetmore, KS -- AA0MZ
