09/15/2003 | N0HF Wow, it's been a while since I've made top 10 SOSB in any contest let alone ARRL DX SSB! Probably due to low participation or poor band conditions in the normally high scoring areas of the US. Oh well, I'll take what I can get! This year I installed a Cushcraft 10-4 (4 element yagi) which sure worked well compared to my C3SS. Saturday morning was the best time for working Europe. Both days JA's were plentiful beginning around 2pm local time. My Alpha 86 was in for repair so I used the Alpha 99 loaner amp. which I built when employed at Alpha when WN was president and CTO back in 1998/1999. Good thing Alpha/Crosslink is nearby!
