06/18/2003 | N2YEV Things are looking up...this marks my 3rd June VHF contest and it just gets better every year. It seems that more of my amateur brothers are getting on the air up here. Of course the fact we had a bit of an opening on 6M really helped boost the activity level. From the home QTH near the great white north (FN34gs) a modest station and meager antenna system I managed to eek out a fine score, meet some new contesters and talk with a few friends. Well September should bring a better time of it when I get the 48 footer up in the back yard. Just got a pair of homebrewed FO15's for 432, and a pair of FO12's for 2M and in the UPS system is my 6M7JHV for 6M, a might better than the one I have now. Maybe then I'll try my hand at QRP?!?
